SPICY TUNA ON A BUN

I have been asked to share my recipes for innovative sandwich fillings. Well this is not exactly a sandwich but its a nice and different meal. Spicy saucy canned tuna on  bun! My favourite way to eat tuna apart from a salad is to cook it in a nice spicy sauce and eat it piping hot!! If you make it less saucier you can even use it to fill pies or puff pastry!!
Here is my simple recipe
INGREDIENTS:
2 small cans of tuna, i use the one in oil
1 small white onion chopped fine
1 teaspoon of grated ginger
1 tomato, chopped fine OR a little tomato paste
2-3 green chillies chopped to make it spicy
1/4 teaspoon each of Nitu Didi cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala OR curry powder and red chilli powder
salt to taste
chopped coriander leaves
METHOD:
Heat a frying pan and put the oil from the tuna to heat in it. Add the chopped onions, ginger and green chiliesw and sautee till the onions are transparent. Add the spices and cook for a few seconds and immediately add the tomato so the spices dont burn. Cook it well till the tomato is cooked and then add the salt, the green chillies, coriander leaves and lastly the tuna and mix it all well. Spoon it over a split bun and serve!!
Quick and delicious!!
